The so called “Apartment Carbona Sconta ” is a brand new flat suitable for 2 persons in a perfect position, overlooking a nice and small venetian channel and close either to Ca’ Pesaro, the famous modern art museum, and Campo Santa Maria Mater Domini; also, it’s 5 minutes walking from Rialto bridge, more or less.
This particular name comes from the history of the flat itself: “carbona” is an italian word to describe a secret location, useful to meet people to discuss about politic issues or to enjoy a hidden love. “Sconta” is a venetian word referred to small and forgotten way, used by locals to avoid the main street or to meet other persons. In the past, even if the flat was more similar to a deposit than to a real apartment, secret meetings were not so uncommon there!
After you enter through a common court and a small hallway, the flat appears amazing immediately: exposed beans, a just refurbished bathroom with a large shower with cascade, living room, a kitchen corner protected and separate from the large living room…then air conditioning, a view from the window on a typical venetian channel and flat tv. This 2 persons apartment in Venice close to Rialto bridge is the perfect spot to live a couple of relaxing days in the most beautiful city of the world.
*Please note check in time is from 15 to 19. From 19 to 21 we apply an extra fee of 30.00 euro. From 21 to 23 extra of 50.00 euro. After 23 we won’t provide check in service anymore, just in case of unexpected circumstances (i.e. flight/train delays, natural disasters) and with the agreed charge of 50.00 euro. Extra charge must be paid cash only at arrival.
